Joel and 75 horses

First he looked at the hill where the studio was going to go and said “that… is in the wrong place”. It was november 2018, and winter was coming, supposedly. But winter never really landed, so the man kept hitching up his 75 horse-power tractor and digging. He found a place where the previous owners had made a dump, and de-tangled that, dealing with it appropriately, and he found the place where the previous bulldozer operator had stopped moving earth because there was an old creek bed full of rocks. This was very convenient because the other thing he needed to do was to build road-ways suitable for trucks full of concrete and construction materials. Road materials are expensive. So Joel has been spending a whole lot of time picking rocks out of clay. Of course he has tried to figure out a more efficient way of gleaning these road foundation rocks, but in the end, he just keeps going. Clay goes one way (fill where fill is needed as he excavates for 3 structures), rocks go another way. Topsoil goes into the part of the orchard that I haven’t planted yet, and the whole integrated action inches towards resolution now as summer continues…
